The summer has arrived and with it comes some of our favorite summer shows to keep us out of the heat! For my viewing, USA Network is the place to be!
I’m happy Burn Notice is back. It’s hands down one of the most entertaining shows that we dvr and watch at a sensible hour. Who can stay awake until 10 PM ? Not this cartoonist! Burn Notice has an awesome formula going. Step 1) Start the never ending story of Michael Weston’s quest to find out why he was burned. 2) Michael and the crew help someone who is a good honest person being victimized by ruthless scum who will stop at nothing to get ( you pick) into their hands. Step 3) Michael and crew seem to have it all sewn up…ka-pling…a snafu in the plan, now it’s time to improvise and take out the villains in some clever way. Step 4) Hugs and kisses, and then another cliff hanger for Michael and his Burn Notice. It’s a great formula , theirs a ton a good humor, and best of all it’s a great escape for folks who like great escapes with guns and explosions. So obviously, I am a hardcore fan of this show.

Psych is back too. I love this show, It is really funny, and well put together. I think the relationship between Corbin Bernsen and James Roday (Shawn and Henry Spenser) on the show is why I watch it. Shawn is a brilliant detective, but he’s got issues with his father which is why he would never be a real detective. Gus, and the rest of the crew are perfect in supporting roles to Shawn’s antics. The show has a really funny formula, and I applaud the writers for always tossing in quirky guest characters who just punch up the humor level to hilarious. This last week when Shawn took one class of karate and tried to get in on a fight and was quickly put out of commission was one of the funniest scenes—ever. Shawn Spenser is the funniest character on TV, way better than that Mentalist guy!
